Could Not be More Excited!!!!!

Congratulations to our good friends who are expecting a little brother or sister for Miss Madison Grace!! We know the ultimate joy a baby brings to a family and can't wait to witness the miracle of another family member to the Robbins Family!!

We Love & Miss You Guys!

Happy Halloween Take 1

We'll post pictures of Connor's first Halloween in his costume later tonight or tomorrow, but for now this will have to do.

This also serves as proof that Mommy isn't exaggerating about having a baby who stands up at 4 months old!

Sixteen Weeks Old

Connor has been standing A LOT. My sister took an adorable photo of him standing a couple days ago that I'll have to post as proof. I guess I should clarify that he is not standing by himself, but holding onto our fingers and supporting his own weight. He continues to talk, talk, talk and gets frustrated if we don't pay attention to him right away. He is beginning to dislike getting strapped into his car seat. He doesn't mind being in it once he's strapped in, but he will squirm and fight us while getting him all settled inside. He continues to be an adorable little ham for Mommy and Daddy (and really anyone who will look at him and give him attention). I see how people, namely the 18 Kids and Counting folks, can get suckered into having more and more babies. They're just so adorable! He's definitely our little Love Bug!

Growing Too Fast

In a little over a week, our baby boy will be 4 months old. Seriously? How is this possible?

We continue to be sooooo in love!

Connor Was On The News This Morning

Talking...In the World of a Fourteen Week Old

I have been meaning to get this edited and uploaded, but it's been a bit busy around here! This video was originally 7 minutes and 38 seconds of just Connor talking. But I whittled it down to this. Truly hilarious!!

Fifteen Weeks Old

Mommy didn't remember that we needed to take his fifteen week photos until about 8:30 at night and decided, "heck! He'll be fine! Let's just take 'em!"

Well, I'm pretty sure you can see what transpired. The chair photos went pretty well and he did this adorable "hand behind his head" pose which, well, is just precious. We pushed it a little further than we should have, however, by seeing if we could get a SMILE and a CUTE pose. **Note to Readers: It is not possible to get cute and smiling photos at 9pm.**

We then paid the price in the teddy photos. Diana, you wanted a "blooper." Here you go! Shockingly there's one where he's kinda sitting up, but he's crying in it. The photo below is definitely a bit more accurate for how the evening of photos went.

**Note to self! Do not wake Connor up from bedtime to take photos!**

Pumpkin Carvin'

Connor very patiently carved his first pumpkin. The precision with which he executed his design was stellar. His hand-eye coordination was among the finest of any 14 week old child I've ever seen. His creativity and brilliance were apparent by all who witnessed it.
Alright, Connor sat in his swing pooping and sucking on his hand, while Mommy and Daddy carved the pumpkin. :-)

So lucky to have found the best pumpkin!!

Mr. Howard had to work the last time I took Connor to a pumpkin patch. So, we pretended this was the first time and went as a family! :-) First, we put Connor amongst the pumpkins to see who would notice! Let me tell you, he played a pretty convincing Pumpkin Role (he takes after Mommy's drama past). We think he might need to reprise his role every Halloween! Then we measured him and weighed him. We wanted to take the biggest pumpkin home, but settled for the cutest!
Nana and Grandpa had a hard time picking a pumpkin, but they finally settled on this little stud.
We heard that pumpkins can grow right before your very eyes, but we were shocked at how much they moved around!
This pumpkin was so content - just laying in his patch, that we were almost sad to pick him.
Daddy got real excited to finally have the pumpkin in his arms!Mommy made sure that the goats wouldn't eat her precious find!
Grandpa wasn't as nice.
He tried to feed his little orange treat to the goats. Thankfully Nana stopped him!
All in all, we feel so lucky to have found the perfect Punkin'

Connor is 11 lbs 9 oz!! This is almost a two pound increase in two weeks!! We can now wake him up every four hours for feedings...THANK GOODNESS. I asked my mom today what she thought the threshold was for dying from lack of sleep - a week of no REM? A month? How about three months? I wouldn't trade his weight gain for any amount of sleep though!

Pumpkin Patch

A pumpkin patch is a magical plot,
A lush supernatural garden spot,
Where goblins and ghouls meet to masquerade
As plain orange pumpkins out on parade.
A pumpkin patch is a rendezvous place,
Where summer disappears without a trace,
And autumn turns down a dark narrow lane,
To hide in vines on a parallel plane
With all of the past seasons come and gone
To their final spring on a wizen lawn.

Nana & Grandpa Love

Nana watches Connor every Friday and gets a little baby lovin' in each week. We then do Friday night dinners over there every week! What a special tradition!

Thirteen Weeks Old

What a big boy he is now. I looked at him today, with his full face and double chin, and was in awe. I cannot believe how much he looks like a little kid now and so much less like a baby. Wow!!!

He continues to talk a lot and can make the following sounds: da, mmm, ha, ayeee, egh, goo, awah, ooh, and maybe la (I can't remember if I've heard that or not).

We had a busy day!!

We are working on a special project for Christmas and we needed a few things to help us on our way. We also needed an outfit for Connor's Picture Day at daycare next week! So off we went to the Folsom Outlets and the Roseville Galleria. We just had to buy that hat! Isn't it adorable?

Connor is LOVING being in the front carrier now and happily strolls along with us as we garden, shop, clean, and cook. He's such a cutie!

Doctor Update

We got another good news appointment! We went to the doctor on Thursday for Connor's weigh-in and lung check (he's been breathing a bit funny). Last week he was 9 lbs 4 oz and...drumroll please...9 lbs 13 oz this week. The only problem is that he's also getting older. So, he's now back in the 2nd -3rd percentile. The doctor said we shouldn't worry about that though and we don't have to come back for 2 more weeks (unless we feel like he's not getting heavier).

I think he's just always going to be a skinny little guy (look at Daddy).

His lungs also sounded great and he didn't have a cold, just normal baby stuffiness.

When we were watching the VMA's on September 13th, Connor and Daddy started rocking out to Beyonce!

Nursery - 100% Done

New Paint - Check
New Wainscotting - Check
New Decorations - Check
New Lettering - Check
New Baby - Double Check!

I don't think I ever wrote or posted a photo of the completed nursery. All we had left to do was add his name to the wall. My mom bought us the letters that matched the room and Mr. Howard got it all hung and ready to go! It was hard to get a good picture of it, as it's on the wall opposite the crib and I couldn't really get a picture from a far enough distance away.

But you get the idea!
