Our Halloween

We had all these wonderful plans for Sunday - a Halloween Together! More often than not, Mr. Howard and I are stuck celebrating on alternate days, hoping he'll get home in time for dinner, and rushing to get ready for trick-or-treaters or parties (I'm sure you're thinking, "Parties?" That was in our BC, Before Connor, Lifetime). But not this year. This year Mr. Howard had the WHOLE ENTIRE DAY OFF! I was so very excited!!

But you will never believe what life threw at us.

First Luke started throwing up. Then, I started throwing up. And that went on for several hours. Try caring for a 15 month old while throwing up!! Yeah. Fun! I'd run to throw up in the bathroom; Mr. Howard would lay on the couch watching Little Man. I'd get cleaned up and return, only to find Mr. Howard running my direction. It was actually quite funny. We, and by "we" I mean Mr. Howard, did manage to get Connor in his costume and took him over to show our neighbors. That was the extent of our Halloween. No trick-or-treating. No Halloween Chili at the neighbors. No pumpkin carving.

Don't laugh at us Wednesday when we're sitting in our house carving pumpkins (which we TOTALLY will be doing).

That flu sucked!!! I didn't get it as bad as Denny did but it was still terrible. Denny seriously sounded like he was dying. I can't even imagine taking care of a child on top of all of that. Crazy! Well I am glad it was fast and glad you are feeling better, I hope you are having fun carving pumpkins tonight! Love you.

We carved one of the pumpkins and then gave up. We had decided we were going to do the rest after Connor went to sleep, but the bed looked soooo much more appetizing than the pumpkins did. =)
