It is incredibly rare for me to get political on this blog, because...well...that's not the blog's purpose. It's to document my family's life. BUT there are times when things are so momentous that I have to mention them because the reality is that it's what's going on in our world. I also print the blog into a hardbound book to keep for my family to look back at. So I feel it necessary to mention what is going on in our world right now, because today is a big day!

Last night, President Obama announced that the United States had killed Osama Bin Laden. This was a journey that our country has been on for 10 years after the attack of our World Trade Centers on September 11, 2001. I hope that the victims, and their families, of Bin Laden's heinous acts, massacres, and hatred across the country and world, can find some peace in knowing that justice has been served. I also want to thank the men and women of our country (and their families) who serve our country tirelessly and without a lot of acknowledgment from most of us on a day-to-day basis.

I applaud you for posting. I almost did and as you can see never got to it. It was (and is) a great day for all Americans. Though it won't bring our heroes back, a little justice has been served.
