33 Weeks

Sleep
You should hear me at night when the hubby and I are crawling into bed. I say over and over out loud, "I'm so grateful to be pregnant...I'm so grateful to be pregnant." It's my way of remembering to feel blessed as I'm in sooo much pain. The pain in my legs is unspeakable. It honestly feels like ligaments are ripping (sorry...it's the God's honest truth). I have never felt such immense pain and stretching. Do I need to mention that I have also never felt such excitement and joy that we will be welcoming two precious humans at one time into our family?

My Size/Development
I am measuring 46 weeks for a singleton mama. Ahh. My amniotic fluid has reached its maximum level and will stay constant until the end of my pregnancy.

The Babies' Size/Development
The babies' brains are growing very fast. Even though their skull bones have hardened, the skull will not be fully joined yet! The twins are and will be practicing breathing in the water! In fact at one my two weekly ultrasounds we could actually see their little lungs expanding and contracting.

Excitement
I get to see my babies' kidneys next week! It will be such a relief.

Random Twin Fact
A funny one from the Howards: This week's fact is that we will be welcoming twins into the house VERY soon and haven't bought any diapers. Not. A. Single. One. Ummmm I think we need to remedy this immediately.

When I was pregnant with Connor, I stopped taking full photos. I cut my head out of them. Now I remember why! It is taking EVERYTHING in me to not be vain and post the picture above. I know I will appreciate it some day when I am skinny (positive thinking, folks!).

The ones from the front seem to make me feel a bit better.
**I had to wear glasses today because I got a 1 inch long dog hair stuck in my eye for several hours (didn't know it was there...I thought I had an eye infection). It was so bad I actually scheduled an appointment with ophthalmology, until my eye kept watering and watering (we're talking maybe 15 hours of watery eyes) and finally I found the hair. WOW!**

Did you change the countdown ticker? Is it now set for the delivery date? It's coming up so fast!!!!!

Courtney, we honestly thought about cloth diapering. =) It would be soo much better for the environment and I know would save us GOBS of money. And maybe if I was going to stay home next year I could undertake the massive amounts of laundry I would be sure to amass in my baskets. Ha! But, I cannot imagine adding two babies AND cloth diapering to my life. =)

Diana, we did finally change the ticker. I thought it was kinda pointless to have it set to July 28th since there was NO WAY I WAS EVER GOING TO LET THEM STAY FOR 40 WEEKS!! I set it to July 14th (which is the last day of my 38th week - and the last day they are welcome to stay in my belly). Hehe!
