The Car Seat

Remember this post? We wanted to re-do the car seat covers, but didn't want to spend $150 on two car seat covers. So, Mr. Howard and I headed over to JoAnns Fabrics and picked out a pretty flower print and a basic black. We had planned to re-do both seats, but once we got the fabric home and started to take apart the covers, we realized that the red one (see the linked post above) would not be coverable. So, we flew by the seat of our pants and just re-did the blue one (again...see the linked post above).

My mom did most of the work. I just watched her use the sewing machine and kept thinking, I wish I could sew (of course, I say that...but I have no time, nor do I need ANOTHER hobby). She was also SUPER SPECTACULAR because the big sewing machine she normally uses is at her new house and all she had was her mom's machine (which could not have been built after maybe the 1960's).

A side view! Do you see the canopy? Amazing!

I just LOVE the way it turned out! I am sooo bummed we can't cover the red one, but Isabella will have an adorable new little seat!
