Christmas Tree

Last Sunday we headed up, with my parents, to Placerville or Apple Hill to get our tree. We needed a bigger one for my parents, so we thought it'd be fun to head to a "Cut Your Own" place. Because I grew up in Palm Springs, the whole idea that you can go and cut your own tree is still an exciting concept to me.

We totally goofed. I thought Mr. Howard had packed them. And Mr. Howard thought I had packed them. What were we missing?
Shoes for Connor. We had to take turns holding him the whole time we were there!
For those of you who have never bought a tree in the "wild," they give you a measuring stick so you can see what size tree you want to buy.

I actually started the day with Aiden, but Isabella was freaking out in my dad's arms
*Full Blown Screaming on the Top of her Lungs* so I took her!

Afterwards we went to In-n-Out and brought lunch home!
And then we came home and started decorating...
Aiden was loving it!

I was attempting a picture of Isabella looking at the tree. It wasn't until I loaded these photos that I noticed what Mr. Howard was doing with Aiden.
About 2-3 hours after we began decorating the tree (we hardly decorated it at all because Connor needed a nap and we didn't want to do it without him) we were giving Connor a bath when we heard a crash. We came out to the living room to see our tree had crashed and had fallen down. A few of our ornaments had broken, but the ones I care the most about are still safe.

And if you come over to our house right at this moment, you will see that we pretty much have left our tree as undecorated as that photo. At night we don't get home until 5-5:30 and then we eat dinner, play, start baths, and head to bed. Soo much to do!!

We are hosting my work Christmas Party this year, which means we need to get going on our house. And to keep myself on track and accountable, here is today's To Do List
  1. Decorate Christmas Tree
  2. Go get Mr. Howard a new phone (his phone took a bath with Connor on Friday night)
  3. Put Christmas Lights up on outside of house
  4. Decorate Kitchen Cabinets with Christmas Card Display
  5. Grocery Shop and Meal Plan for the Week
  6. Start Straightening the House for Next Saturday
