Summer Lovin'

I'm sprinkling this with photos from the last few days!

I can't tell you how happy Summer makes me...as in smile from ear-to-ear, dates with the hubby, kid at Christmas type of happy. Ahh. It's heaven. Even though I usually do REALLY fun things like clean out our closets and deep clean our house, it still means that each day I don't have to go to work. I love my job. But it is exhausting.

The students' last day of school was last Thursday; my last day was Friday! After our bout with the stomach flu, I spent Monday all day at a teaching conference. While it wasn't completely me, I definitely got important tidbits out of it that I will definitely incorporate into my teaching.

And then Tuesday, well Tuesday I knocked out the to-do list. I called ALTA, booked our 5th Anniversary Adventure, lined up a babysitter for said adventure, emailed a few people about our disney trip, organized a girls' night with my sister, booked a house cleaner to come on Thursday, uploaded a video of our wedding using a screencast into youtube, and did about 5 loads of laundry.

Wednesday I spent time with Jeanne, Diana, and Sophia, and then organized my house for the housecleaner (I needed to hang up laundry, clean off our computer desk, do a few more loads of laundry, put sheets on our guest bed, sort through baby shoes, and just do some general straightening). I really wanted the housekeeper to be able to deep clean the house and didn't want them to have to focus on the little stuff. The rest of the day the kids and I hung out and spent time together AND booked Connor's private swimming lessons. He starts next week!!
*Picture Above: Connor thought they needed the betty bear (translation: teddy bear) so he brought it over for them before I snapped this!*

Thursday we spent the day at my Mom and Dad's house. Mr. Howard was helping my dad move the rest of the stuff out of his garage because their house escrow is closing on the 12th! My mom and I busted out a cute Father's Day craft project for my hubby that I can't WAIT to post about!! That night Mr. Howard took the kids home and did bath/bed time, while my sister and I had a girls' night (that was my mother's day present - a gift card to Olive Garden and the Movie Theatre...and then a night of babysitting so I could go out with a friend). We saw Snow White and the Huntsman and had a great night!

And then today I went to a training all day. It wasn't the most fun training and I didn't get a whole lot out of it, but I got to see my work friends and have some yummy El Pollo Loco lunch (Hey! Trying to find the positives), AND most importantly, I got hours. So far in five days of summer, I've already racked in 13 hours of PD (almost 1 unit).

Next week I'm cranking out some more P.D. and hopefully going to cross some more off my To-LIST (check out what I've already done!).
