A Video and Recap

Before I had kids, summer was about lounging around, sleeping in, and going out with friends. It's way better now, but it's no longer relaxing.

Monday morning I woke up early to get the kids ready and out the door and then I headed out to a training I had at 8:30am. After the training, I quickly headed to the grocery store, bought groceries, headed home, started two batches of enchiladas, and then left to go pick up the kids from daycare. I hurried home, where my mom met me to pick up Connor. I then finished dinner, straightened the house, put the twins to bed, and waited for my book club peeps to show up. When they got there, we made a list of the books we'd be reading until January, calendared all our dates for the next several months, and figured out who would be hosting each event. I went to bed at 11pm.

Status Update from this morning: "I COMPLETELY forgot about a training I had today. I got the kids ready for school, piled in the car (in sweat pants, my glasses, and a t-shirt), and dropped them off. As I was calling my mom to tell her about another training I had, I suddenly remembered I had a training THIS morning. Ahhh. I just drove straight to my class in my sweats. #ThankGoodnessMyHeadIsAttached"

I think that pretty much sums up my life right now - if my head wasn't attached, I'd forget to attach it before leaving the house!

Here's the video of Izzy "crawling" I've been meaning to post. She is definitely moving around. You can see why I asked on my facebook if you can call it crawling when she never actually puts her knees on the ground. She uses her feet.  She's actually much better at it now. This was early in her "crawling" process.

I took one of Aiden but he's super grumpy in it. I'll try to get a better one today.

I can't participate in your book club in person but would love to read some new books this year. Let me know what y'all are reading and I may "join" you.

I love the looks she gives you as you move the red ball further away and then she looks back at Dad! Sooo adorable! She is getting the hang of it :) ...D
