52 Weeks Old

Isabella got another tooth this week. It was her second top tooth. She now has a total of 4! Isabella learned how to go from crawling to sitting up this week. She'll crawl to where she wants to be, push herself up, and then, from a sitting position, play with whatever she found. When you put Izzy's feet on the ground and let her hold your fingers, she just stands there. She doesn't step forward at all. It'll be a little while before she's walking.

Aiden had a big week. He learned how to pull himself to standing. He can use the side of the crib to do it, the stairs at my mom's house, Mama or Daddy's leg, or even the side of the carseat. He has gotten pretty good at it and, in fact, "climbed" out of his crib. We found him playing with his carseat on the floor one morning. Yep. Time to lower the crib! When you put Aiden's feet on the ground and let him hold your fingers, he puts his feet one in front of the others and walks while holding on. It won't be long before he's standing on his own completely and it'll probably be pretty soon that he's walking (maybe a few months?).

You may have noticed they are in different outfits. I COMPLETELY forgot to do the teddy picture the same day I did the chair one.

And you know me and a good comparison! Do you see this?!? I cropped the photo the same way, so if you look there's the same amount of space above and below the chair in the photo. They are GIGANTIC!!!
At birth Aiden weighed 4 lbs 11 oz and Isabella weighed 4 lbs 14 ounces, but by the time we brought them home from the NICU, they were both 4 lbs even. By week 1 they may have been a few ounces more - maybe 4 lbs 4 ounces. In the week 1 photo they were in preemie clothes and they were so big, they were falling off of them. The NICU coordinator of my Mothers of Multiples Group brought us some doll clothes and those were pretty much the only things that fit them for a while. Pretty darn tiny! Now they're in 3-6 month clothes (Aiden's onesie he's in for this photo is 0-3).

Alright, folks. Well that's the last time I'll be doing a formal weekly update! Are you sick of the weekly pictures? Hehe. I know I'm sick of trying to remember to take them each week. I CANNOT believe I didn't forget a single one. It's a stinkin' miracle, really.

It's amazing how much they've changed in a year! I'm going to miss the weekly photos, I've loved watching them grow and reading about their accomplishments each week. :)
