What a wild and crazy life

Halloween is one of those times of year I wish I was a stay-at-home parent! There were so many crafts and things I wanted to do with Connor that I just never had time to do and it made me so bummed. I saw everyone's instagram photos of Halloween crafts and ghost cookies and Monster Bashes and I'm so jealous. Some day, in a perfect world, I will share a contract with someone and work part time and I'll have time to do all those things (or I'll just barely be able to keep up with the laundry and cleaning and will still feel just as frazzled as I do now...).

Mr. Howard and I both had to work on Halloween, but we were able to get the kids dressed in their costumes before we sent Connor into preschool (he had a Halloween party) and the babies to my mom's house. Afterwards, I booked it to preschool to pick Connor up and then headed over to my mom's house for dinner and trick-or-treating.

This was the first time we took Connor trick-or-treating. What a huge first!!! Last year we only went to my mom and dad's house and the neighbor's house. This year we did the full-on trick-or-treating experience - complete with a little cauldron to store his loot. So. Much. Fun.

It makes my heart so happy looking at these photos!

My Mom and Dad watched the babies while we took Connor. We came home to this:
He was SO tuckered out. I know a lot of people have kids who will fall asleep anywhere...but my kids do not. I have only seen Aiden fall asleep anywhere other than his crib a handful of times. So the fact that he fell asleep on the couch in a living room with a TV going and people walking around - is kind of amazing.
I had a request from Miss Sophia for some more videos. Here are my wild and crazy kids on Halloween:
