Building a House - Roofing, Electrical, and Getting Ready for Stucco

Follow my blog with Bloglovin I'm sure you heard about GFC closing, so those of you making the switch to Bloglovin - make sure you add all your blogs to your new account (when I signed up with bloglovin, it asked me if I wanted to import all my blogs from my GFC). In case you don't have that option, I've given you the link above to follow me!

I thought it was time to update everyone on the progress, because we'll be meeting with our superintendent today to do our Pre-Drywall Walk through (which means drywall could start as early as tomorrow or next week! Ahhhh!).

On March 7, 2013, our contractors started working on our roof. They laid out the underlayment first. A Closeup:
They also put scaffolding up to get ready to insulfoam wrap our house:
March 8, 2013 - They wrapped the entire house in insulfoam.
Here's a side view:
It's hard to see in this picture, but they had also put up a stucco lath for the stucco to adhere to (I'll show you a close up picture). I bet you didn't know I knew what stucco lath was?!? I am just all sorts of amazing at absorbing all this new information.
The back of the house:
Our downstairs bathtub (guest bathroom):
They started plumbing and the electricians put in the boxes (switch, outlet, and lighting) and pulled the wires into them. They started our cable, telephone, and speaker wires (we had a house surround sound system put in).
Here's our master bath and shower:
The kids' bathroom, upstairs, shower and tub.

Our fireplace:
The black tubing is the Air Conditioner:
This is our roof. I am standing in the playroom:
Here is our electric meter. We thought it was funny that it was at 0. That won't be like that for long.

Here is a close up of the stucco lath:
When we picked out the elevation for our house, there were no houses in our community that had the same front that we had (the Tuscan style), so we had to go off of renderings and drawings from the builder. There are still little details that we're discovering that we love. We noticed this detail on our roof. We just love it!
