Framing - First Time Inside the Home

Here are some pictures from February 28, 2012:

We were so excited because this was the first time since we've been building that we were allowed (because it was finally safe) to go inside the home!!

Mr. Howard in the door frame of the front door!
Me inside the door frame of our front door!
This is our formal living room (I am looking out towards the front door!):
We are having archways put in our living room and hallway and then there will also be pillars in there:
This is our kitchen. What Mr. Howard is standing behind is what will be the island (we did not elect to have an island put in because it was $6,000 and it wasn't very well made. So we were going to make our own much bigger, much nicer one for the same price or less). However, that being said, if they are going to give us an island for free, I won't complain. We'll see. They may realize it shouldn't be there and take it out.
This is our stair case. To the left of this picture is our kitchen and to the right is our family room.
Mr. Howard is standing in the guest bathroom downstairs.
Inside that room will be our downstairs guest bedroom. The door on the left side of this picture is the door we will use to come in the house from our garage. And the open space in front of that room is our family room.
This is a picture looking up the stairs. It wasn't safe to go up there yet, so I'll have to post pictures of that another day.
Below is the back of our house. I'll be honest, while I like the windows that we'll have back there and our yard, I don't love the way the house is so flat. Our plans are to build a covered patio eventually though. It's funny, because in the model home, I actually never noticed how flat it was. It wasn't until they messed up on our first lot, that I even noticed. So hopefully, it will disappear to me once it's built.
Mr. Howard is standing in our backyard, so those three windows will be in our family room. I am standing by the staircase, looking out the back of our house.
I will post pictures of the upstairs once it's safe to go up there.

So exciting! My dad is an architect so I have been in houses in wayyy earlier stages than that. Even upstairs is probably completely safe. We built a custom house about 5 years ago and the process took forever. Delays happen so never count on completion dates completely.
