Easter Sunday

The three pictures below are actually from Tuesday, March 26th, but I forgot to include them earlier. Grandma Howard made the kids adorable bunny shirts to wear for Easter. So they wore them for their Preschool Easter Egg Hunt on Tuesday and then again on Easter Sunday for our at-home Easter Egg Hunt:

Easter morning was super wet. We weren't really sure the Easter bunny was going to be able to leave the eggs out on the lawn, but miraculously it stopped raining for a little bit. We had to put Connor in rain boots and the babies went barefoot (we don't have any rainboots for them). Thank goodness it was the perfect temperature, despite the cloudy and rainy weather.
Our only family photo from the day is below. All three kids are sorta looking, which is pretty stinkin' amazing. Of course, Mr. Howard and I are in are pajamas (and hubby didn't do his hair!). Oops.
The kids had such a fun time on their hunt! It was really the first holiday that they were old enough to fully comprehend what they were doing and enjoy it. Those are the moments I love as a Mom.
Aiden and Izzy picking up eggs:
Harley joined us on our Easter Egg hunt. He was running around with all the kids, thinking he was pretty hot stuff.
Izzy and Connor (and Aiden in the background)
Aiden and Connor with their grandfather - looking at snails. Connor was petrified of them. So funny.

I took a video while we were on our hunt. Oh goodness. My voice. Normally I don't dislike my voice as much as I do on this one, but geesh. I did try to put music in the background - but have you used the youtube editor and tried to find music? The selection is awful. Let me know if you have a good go-to song you like.

After our Easter Egg hunt, we came inside to check out our loot. Aiden figured out how to open the eggs pretty quickly.
Isabella Lynn discovered that there were goldfish crackers in the eggs and she was stuffing them into her mouth, handing me another egg, saying "help" so that I'd open another, and then repeating the whole process over again. She was thrilled as can be!
Connor was a little more savvy. He consciously found the "best" treats to eat. He chose the m&m's and attempted to steal any eggs from his siblings that potentially held the prized choice of snack.
Izzy won't let me put a hairbow in her hair, but boy does she need it!
Aiden didn't want to stop eating his eggs to take a photo, but he at least stayed on my lap!
What a wonderful Easter Morning. I love these quiet moments at home celebrating with my beautiful family.

I wrestle Kylie every day to get a rubber band in her hair, and then she forgets about it! (sometimes I can sneakily do it while she's eating) The shirts are really cute. And all I can think about is how nice your grass looks already!

I wish we could go back to the days where I could put a bow in her hair and she wouldn't even know it was there. It'd certainly make her life a whole lot easier. Ha!!

I started putting stuff in my girls hair as young as I could and brushing their hair so they would be used to it after watching my niece and goddaughter hate their hair being done (they both still do!) so, as soon as they sat in highchairs I started on them. In fact I still often do their hair during breakfast =)
