My parents live in a gated community and there is an Easter Egg Hunt annually near the clubhouse. We've actually gone the past two years and the kids always have fun. This year, since we actually live with my parents, it was even more fun. The kids loved that we could walk from our house to the hunt and then we could come back afterwards and hang out and take naps. It certainly is more convenient!
Before we went, my mom gave the kids their Easter Baskets from The Kirkpatricks. The kids were so excited! I had them put on their bunny masks that they had made at preschool on Tuesday.
Oh my goodness. My heart. Seriously. It exploded:
Then we headed out to the hunt. They had a jump house, baby chicks to hold (see picture of Connor holding the baby chick), and lots and lots of eggs to hunt. The kids had SO much fun! Mr. Howard had to run off to work, but he was able to stay long enough to see the kids hunt the eggs.
Connor just loved the jump house. Love, love, loved! Aiden wanted to be like his big brother, so he went in for a minute. He quickly wanted out. I am actually very surprised about this because he usually has absolutely no fear. None. Says the spooked out Mama who watches her not-so-little daredevil climb, jump, run, and do things I think he is too little to do.
And then when we got back to the house, the kids had such fun exploring all their goodies!
My mom wanted to do some cupcake baking with Connor and the babies wanted to be a part of it too. I pushed bar stools over so they could watch. Connor was thrilled to make chocolate cupcakes!
