Welcome to those of you who are new here. I write about my husband, kids, our home, and a million things in between. My husband, Mr. Howard, and I have been married for 5 years and together for 13 years. When we decided we were ready to expand our family, we were so excited. After 12 months and many, many, many disapointments, we began the process of seeing a fertility specialist. The very night before our first scheduled appointment, we found out that we had conceived and were expecting our very first baby. Mr. Howard and I welcomed Connor James into our lives on July 7, 2009! Then in June of 2010 we found out we were expecting another baby, a little brother or sister for Connor! On September 17th, 2010 at 5:43am, we welcomed Cole Jayden Howard to our world and quickly said goodbye to him as God ushered him straight to heaven. Our hearts were broken. We were utterly confused and lost. But, after much heartache and horrendous firsts that no parent should ever have to experience, in November of 2010, we learned that Connor and Cole were going to become big brothers. However, nothing could prepare us for our December 15th ultrasound, when we learned that we were being blessed with TWINS! We genuinely could not have been more surprised as we do not have any history of twins in the family and we did not take any fertility drugs. Life is sometimes filled with tantrums and tears, but it is also filled with kitchen dance parties, tickle wars before bathtime, and more laughter than I ever thought possible.
To say we are blessed, doesn't do our life together justice. We are honored to be called Husband & Wife, and Mama & Daddy and try to remember that when we're struggling in grief, stress, and just the day-to-day tantrums over which toys belong to which toddler. We cannot imagine our lives any other way.
I hope you'll join us on this crazy journey!
