A Ranch Playdate

Happy Monday! Today is Martin Luther King Jr Day and so the kids and I are home from school. The kids have been waking up at 5:30am this whole weekend and it's made it a little difficult to want to be super productive - but today, today I have grand plans! I am determined to get a few projects done that have been on my to-do list. Up first? Finally finish this post from the first week of January while the kids watch Jake and the Neverland Pirates. ;-) Maybe afterwards I will get wild and do a few loads of laundry. I know. Being a Stay at Home Mommy for the day is ridiculously glamorous and exciting (but I really do LOVE it!)!

A couple weeks ago, Mr. Howard and I were able to meet our friends at their ranch! My friend Diana arranged it and she brought Sophia for a playdate. Our friend has lots of animals and things to see on her beautiful ranch, but the horses were the kids' favorites!

Isabella held onto my hand when we first went into the horse area, but then got a little brave!
This is the friendly and ridiculously adorable paint horse, Picasso. I'm pretty sure I would have taken him home with me if I had a horse barn...and a trailer...and if Kj wouldn't have missed her...and if I didn't already have enough little people to take care of. Okay I wasn't going to take her home. But some day.
My littles were obsessed with the emu:
Mr. Howard sat there for about 10 minutes with the twins while they watched the emu. So funny that they loved it so much!
Then Kj gave all the kids rides on her horse cart:
I rode in the cart too because the babies are so small. Connor was SO excited to ride in it:
Kj made the kids dinosaur peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and I'm pretty sure I've heard about those at least once a day for the last three weeks. I really need to get a cookie cutter!
We stopped for a little lunch break:
And then they took turns holding a chicken:
I don't know how it's possible, but I did not get a single photo of Diana AGAIN. Every time I go out with Diana somewhere, I somehow manage to not get a single photo of her!!! I love you, Diana!
