Week 1 Half Marathon Training

This week was my first official week of training. Here was what I was supposed to do for Week 1:

Here's what I really did:

Monday was supposed to be my rest day, but I did a 30 minute easy run - because I knew this week was going to be crazy.
Tuesday I had a meeting after school until it was dark out. I rushed home, took care of the kids, made dinner, put the kids to bed, and crawled into bed with my husband. I counted this as my rest day.
Wednesday I worked at McDonald's for McTeacher's Night (I'm totally counting that as cross training because that was HARD work). I left for work that day at 7:00am and didn't get home until 8:30pm. Crazy day.
Thursday I had a meeting before school and then stayed at work after school and prepared for my PD session I had to do the next day. I came home and fell asleep SUPER early. I really meant to run this day, but after a rough end to the day, I crawled in bed instead.
Friday I was teaching a professional development session for teachers and was physically and emotionally exhausted afterwards, plus hubby had to work until 2am. This was the first time I ever facilitated a training with my peers and I was so nervous (until I started...and then I was completely fine!). I counted this as a rest day. Saturday This morning I left the house at 6:45am and got my 50 minute easy run in with my training group, in the 32 degree weather. Burrrrrr.
Tomorrow I plan on getting my 35 minute easy run in.
