This week has been ridiculously long! This upcoming Friday at 2pm, I will be in my car heading home, completely relaxed, to begin my Spring Break; thus, it goes without saying that my students have been W.I.L.D. Take the it's-almost-spring-break-excitement and multiply it because we are doing our annual Living History Wax Museum tomorrow night. My seventh graders are hyped up about wearing the costumes they've been working on. Tomorrow night is by far my absolute favorite night in my teaching world. I look forward to it so much!! But after grading 70 display boards, costumes, and participation points, and hearing LOTS of opinions about how I should do it next year...or where my students should stand...or how I can make it easier on other people...I will have earned my Spring Break. Seriously. I always end the week feeling like I've been hit by a freight train.
The kids have been waking up SO stinkin' early and I'm pretty sure that's contributed to my ridiculously long week. We're averaging 5:40am wake-ups. Isabella secretly crawled into our bed at 11:30pm last night. Mr. Howard and I woke up to her in bed with us watching the Disney Channel at full volume. Hmmmm. That is not going to work. I've used Mickey Mouse Clubhouse to help me blowdry my hair and shower at 6am. Thank goodness for Disney Jr. in the morning.
My mother-in-law sent the kids these appliqued jammies and the kids were SO excited about wearing them. They've worn them two nights in a row and it's a battle to get them off in the morning - because they want to wear them to school.
I was snapping photos to send to their grandma and the kids wouldn't smile. I finally said, "Whoever smiles gets to watch Frozen" and this was the reaction I got. I am pretty sure Connor is the most excited about the possibility of watching Frozen for the millionth time. ;-)
