A Chorus Line

Almost immediately after returning from our trip, I got a text from my mom asking if all the girls wanted to go to see A Chorus Line at the Round theatre. Ummm. Yes! We so desperately wanted to see Wicked when it came to Sacramento, but it was during my brother's wedding and we didn't have enough time. So, we were excited we got to go see a different one!

We went to Lucca's Restaurant (where Mr. Howard and I had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding). I had THE MOST AMAZING steak salad. I would totally order it again! After wine and dinner, we headed out to the show! So much fun with my sisters and mom!
Have you seen A Chorus Line? I thought I had, but obviously hadn't. I've seen lots of numbers and songs performed from it, but not the whole thing. I'm glad to cross it off my list and had SO much fun watching the amazing performers, but I wouldn't see it again. It just didn't have enough of a solid and consistent plot running through it (I know some will disagree), but it is too disjointed for me. I like musicals that have a solid, tight set of characters with a ton of character development, and a traditional plot - exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, climax (can you tell I'm an English teacher?). Ha! It was SUCH a fun night!!!

All I can think of are innapropriate song responses. Like "Tits and A**." Hahahahaha! So much fun!

Haha!! Such a fun show. Yeah, that song I don't think I danced to in Musical Theatre class ;)
